Rafting Trip Video

Here's the video I made from our rafting trip on "The Numbers" on the Arkansas River in Colorado:

I was in a hurry to post this so I haven't got a soundtrack yet, I will repost when I find the right music to fit.

Last Night in the Rockies...

So in our usual fashion, Matt and I did it up good last night with a great surf-n-turf salmon & steak all meat dinner. Some locally brewed beer accented it perfectly!

Catching Kokanee!

We went fishing on the Blue Mesa Reservoir and managed to catch some Kokanee salmon and one rainbow trout. All we did was rent a pontoon boat and ask a couple people how to catch them...viola! A couple of rednecks from Wisconsin were able to get a couple of meals worth of fresh fish.

Traveling around in The Rockies

So I've been spending some time in Colorado with my bro...here's some photos I've taken:

A cool rock formation I saw on the way to Steamboat Springs:

Gotta like to see elk too bad this was the only one:

Nice view of Matt's new digs:

South Park, hanging with the boys

My brother just moved to Park County Colorado and look who I found to hang out with

Video update: Go Kart Track Video

I finally got around to editing the video from the go kart track.  This track is a grungy, gritty, dirty, unsafe, dark, awesome place to race go karts.  I have an awesome burn scar from a muffler:

So the video is Scott, Reagan, and me at the Gulf Speed One Go Kart Track.  I had a Go Pro camera strapped to my helmet and got some pretty fun video in the process.  We had discussed going to the big fancy track but opted for the Superior-like Gulf Speed track.  This track would fit in to any blue collar town, but safety wasn't quite up to US standards.  I loved the fact that the lighting was a little on the non-existent side on the far reaches of the track.  We watched the group of Arab teens in the group before us crashing and arguing, pretty entertaining from our vantage point.  Once these kids were off the track we had it mainly to ourselves, with one little fella out there for a little bit.

So there you have it...fishbulb.

Last Day, Scott's Birthday at the Day Spa, Flying Home

Well I'm home after a 25.5 hour airline marathon.  On the last day in Bahrain, (which also happened to be Scott's Birthday,) we decided to go to this very nice day spa.  Then we went home and had a pizza party and some coconut birthday cake and bon voyage Mr. Dave...

Here's the front door of the spa:

Down the hall to the pool/workout area:

The inside portion of the pool I spent most my time in:

I'm kicking it out in the sun by the pool:

Outside portion of the pool:

I finally got all the Gundys together for a photo during the birthday party:

Off I go...one last look at the Bahrain Airport:

Here's Kuwait City on the way in for the 1 hour stop there:

Well, that's all I have for this trip.  I hope I made my travels interesting to my friends who were following along!

Peace out!!
